What are the top Chinese words used in English? Well, a report by China International Publishing Group has found that among the top 100 Chinese words used around the globe, more than 40 percent come from traditional Chinese culture.
Some Chinese words are now being popularized with their phonetic pinyin spelling. Take the word "panda" for instance, many foreigners now call the cuddly animal "xiongmao" instead of "panda". And the Oxford English Dictionary now includes the word "jiaozi", which means dumpling. Other phrases with distinct Chinese characteristics like the "The Belt and Road Initiative", "The 13th Five-Year Plan" and "The Chinese Dream" also made the list.
