A senior official with the International Monetary Fund suggests that China should continue to increase productivity and not to become distracted by potential challenges. The senior resident representative for the IMF in China -- Alfred Schipke -- spoke with CGTN reporter Liu Yang on Thursday after his agency issued a report concerning China's development, outlook, and risks.
LIU YANG BEIJING "In the recent IMF report, there's a specific mention of the current risks and uncertainties of the Chinese economy. What would you say is the best solution?"
LIU YANG BEIJING "The trade war has led to the relocation of U.S. production lines and contract manufactures to other Asian countries, for example, Vietnam. Does that have a negative impact on industrial chain? Do you think relocation is the only solution for enterprises dealing with current situation?"
LIU YANG BEIJING "There are already signs of recession showing that the U.S. stock market went back to couple of weeks ago. What's the impact of trade tensions on current global economy?"
