Before-and-after photos show aftermath of flash floods in NW China

Torrential rain has been pounding the city of Yulin, in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, since Tuesday night, triggering flash floods in many areas and disrupting residents' lives.
Aerial shots captured in March and June show blue skies and clean streets, however pictures taken earlier this week show a different picture.
The photographs show streets covered in mud in the wake of the flooding, with vehicles swept away and large swathes of farmland destroyed. More than 71,000 people have been relocated from the city to nearby areas.
The relentless rain also disrupted power supplies, telecommunications and traffic. But efforts by local authorities managed to bring back electricity.
