The crisis in Northern Syria continues to escalate. The pro-government "popular forces" entered Afrin Tuesday to support Kurdish fighters who hold Afrin in northwest Syria. The Turkish military attacked with mortars and rockets.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called this attack a "warning". He said the convoy was made up of "terrorists" acting independently. He opposes the Syrian government's intervention and stated Turkish troops will besiege the Afrin area in the next few days.
