Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of the DPRK leader, Kim Jong Un shook hands with South Korean President Moon Jae-in during the ceremony. They also had a brief chat, but we don't know exactly what they talked about.
Kim Yo Jong is the first immediate member of the DPRK's Kim family to set foot in South Korea after the Korean War in 1950-1953.
Standing beside her was the country's top legislator, 90-year-old Kim Yong Nam. US Vice President Mike Pence and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe were sitting next to the DPRK delegation.
