The Inner Mongolia global promotion event took place on Friday in Beijing at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) with the theme “An open China: Magnificent Inner Mongolia greeting the world”.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Party Secretary of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Li Jiheng and Chairman of the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Bu Xiaolin respectively made speeches.

More than 500 people including foreign diplomatic envoys to China, business leaders, and scholars from more than 130 countries attended this event.
Wang Yi said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and that he believes "the Belt and Road Initiative will let Inner Mongolia glow a new luster."
He said Inner Mongolia will make more contribution to fight against global desertification and climate change along with its ecological construction.

Li remarked that "Inner Mongolia always keeps the development theory of in-depth practice of innovation, coordination, green opening and sharing as an important window for China’s opening to the North and an important hub to Belt and Road Initiative. It will actively implement the large-open strategy and cooperate with the world further."

Ambassadors from Mongolia, New Zealand, Italy and Madagascar delivered words of congratulations highlighting the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's anniversary and willingness to cooperate for mutual beneficial development.
