The Wanfo Cave in Jinan, east China’s Shandong Province, reopened to the public on Friday following 14 months of renovation work. /VCG Photo
Constructed in 1992, the 500-meter-long cave contains nearly 30,000 Buddhist statues and around 1,800-square-meters of frescoes. /VCG Photo
The statues and murals in the cave are all replicas of the masterpieces in the Dunhuang, Longmen, Yungang and Maijishan Grottoes, four of the most famous ancient Buddhist sculptural sites in China. /VCG Photo
