Polls open in Kenya's high-stakes general election

About 19.6 million Kenyans began voting Tuesday morning for the election of the country's next president.
The race is between Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and his longtime rival Raila Odinga.
There are more than 40,000 polling stations across the nation.
The polls will close at 5:00 p.m. local time.
