Crew safe as ships collide in English Channel

All members of the crew are safe after a tanker and a cargo ship collided in waters between France and the United Kingdom on Saturday, reported AFP news agency citing French authorities.
According to the authorities, a tanker carrying 38,000 tonnes of petroleum products and a 220-meter-long cargo ship collided in the Strait of Dover at 0100 GMT.
So far no traces of pollution have been detected in the sea, added the authorities.

The UK's maritime and coastguard agency said, the tanker Seafrontier, with 27 crew members on board, was on the way to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, while the Huyan Endeavour en route to Lagos carried a crew of 22.
According to the agency, both vessels have Chinese and Indian crew members on board and they were sailing under a flag of Hong Kong SAR.
