A collection of dolls designed with a makeover reflecting rare skin conditions recently went viral on social media, according to media outlet Bored Panda. Painted with different patterns, the dolls reflect a situation of women and children suffering from vitiligo. /Photo from @kaycustoms
Designer Kay Black started creating and even customizing dolls for customers with vitiligo after being inspired by the story of a Canadian model Winnie Harlow, who rose to fame in America's Next Top Model and was widely known for bravely embracing her vitiligo condition. /Photo from @kaycustoms
Kay believed that the doll was a way to show the world as to how children see themselves and how they define beauty. She said she designed unique dolls to encourage children with vitiligo to accept their natural beauty. /Photo from @kaycustoms
