Japan began deploying its defense system – PAC-3 Patriot missiles – to the west of the country on Friday night.

The move comes following the DPRK's announcement of plans to launch ballistic missiles over Japan and into waters near the US Pacific territory of Guam, where around 7,000 US troops are based.
