Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi exchanged views with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the denuclearization process. And they agreed to push forward the final peace settlement.
WANG YI CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER "China has played a key role in what's been accomplished so far, with its two main proposals."
First, the "suspension-for-suspension". This involves the suspension of the DPRK's nuclear and missile activities, and halting joint military exercises by the US and South Korea.
The other is known as the "dual-track" - a call for denuclearization, while establishing protocols to achieve and preserve peace.

Pompeo's visit is also coming at a time when China and the US still face uncertainties in bilateral trade.
According to an official from the Trump administration, the US president will meet his top trade advisers on Thursday.
The decision to make: whether or not to impose tariffs on Chinese goods worth 50 billion dollars.
China continues to insist that both sides should resolve trade issues through dialogue and negotiation.
GENG SHUANG SPOKESPERSON, CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTRY "Earlier this month, the US secretary of Commerce visited China and positive developments had been made during his consultation with Chinese officials. China has declared that if the US carries out any trade sanction measures, including imposing more tariffs, all the economic and trade achievements that have been made will not come into effect."
