In an eventful second day of competitions, China is leading the medal tally with 11 gold, as the 2018 Asian Games continue in Indonesia. On Monday, Chinese Sun Yang swimmer won another gold medal in the men's 800-meter freestyle competition. CGTN's Victor Ning has the details.
China's Sun Yang won his first gold medal in the 200-meter freestyle at this year's Asian Games. He finished in 1-minute, 45.43 seconds. Japan's Katsuhiro Matsumoto took silver, while another Chinese, Ji Xinjie, earned the bronze.
Xu Jiayu won the men's 100-meter backstroke, matching Japanese Ryosuke Irie's Asian Games record of 52.34 seconds. Irie himself settled for silver, finishing 0.19 seconds behind Xu.
16-year-old Chinese Wang Jianjiahe beat her compatriot Li Bingjie to win gold in the women's 1,500-meter freestyle, finishing in 15 minutes and 53.68 seconds.
China and Thailand booked a semi-final encounter, as they cruised through the women's badminton team quarterfinals.
It took China less than an hour to eliminate the Maldives in straight sets. While Thailand breezed past Chinese Taipei 3-0.
In Sepaktakraw, Indian men's team beat Iran 2-1 in their preliminary regu match.
