An elaborately decorated worship boat made its debut in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province on Friday. The boat displays local traditional fishing culture. It took six months to build this vessel, using traditional methods. The process involved people who were skilled in architecture and painting. In ancient times, people built and burned worship boats to pray for blessings and exorcise evil spirits.
