Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldinho has formally confirmed his retirement from football. Ronaldinho's career blossomed in Europe with French giants PSG and at Barcelona, where he spent five years and helped the Catalans won the Champions League in 2006. He was being awarded the Ballon d'Or in 2005. Ronaldinho made 97 appearances for Brazil, scoring 33 goals, and was a member of its World Cup-winning side in 2002.
