Dubai has poured its efforts into an initiative called "Hala China" as Mideastern governments compete for visitors and investment from China. The Gulf city hosted a series of events to promote the UAE to Chinese tourists and residents, all in a bid to strengthen ties with its largest trade partner. The two sides signed 6 deals earlier this week during the first anniversary of the initiative. The Hala China chairman - Sheikh Majid Al Mualla said during an interview with our reporter Rosanna Lockwood that the bilateral cooperation promoted investment, tourism and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
