A Myanmar fighter jet has gone missing during a routine training mission in southern Ayeyarwady region on Tuesday, the country’s defense service said.
According to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Service, ground control lost contact with the G-4 fighter jet at 9:18 a.m. local time when conducting a training mission with two other planes northwest of the Pathein airport.
A search operation to locate the plane is underway in the area with the use of Air Force aircraft and helicopters.
