India's attempt to construct stand-alone road near Sino-Indian border proved that India contradicted itself when referring to Sino-Indian border issues, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying during a regular press conference in Beijing on Thursday.
According Hindustan Times, Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved a road construction project from Marsimik La to Hot Spring and asked the Border Roads Organization (BRO) to take over the project.
The Indian Express pointed out that the road construction project would give Indian security forces access to remote areas in the disputed western part of Sino-Indian boundary area.
Hua responded that prior to India's own road construction plan around border area, India used an excuse of 'security concern' to illegally enter Chinese territory to obstruct Chinese side's construction of a road in the Donglang area. India's actions once again proved that what India says and what India does are poles apart on the Sino-Indian border issue.

Hua reiterated, although the western part of China-India boundary has not been delimited yet, both sides have reached on a consensus to upholding peace and tranquility of the western part of the China-India boundary.
India's infrastructure construction, which may be used for military purpose around western part's Line of Actual Control (LAC) would make no contribution to the stability and peace for western part's boundary areas neither would ease the present tension between the two countries boundary areas, Hua added.
Marismik La in Ladakh is about 20 kilometers from the northwest tip of Pangong Lake, the spot where two sides engaged in stone-pelting last week.
Beijing confirmed the confrontation in Pangong Lake broke out on August 15 as Chinese border troops' on normal patrol in Chinese side of the LAC near Pangong Lake were obstructed by Indian border troops. India side took some violent actions to collide and scuffle with Chinese side, which injured Chinese personnel.
