Some football news from the Chinese Super League as newly promoted Dalian Yifang have named former Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster as their new head coach. The German replaces Ma Lin and will look to turn around their poor start to the season.

Dalian have spent big to ensure success in the top flight, bringing in the likes of Yannick Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan from Atletico Madrid, but they got off to a nightmare start with three defeats in a row to sit bottom of the table. The 58-year-old Schuster won the Spanish La Liga in 2008 with Real Madrid, but has not worked since the end of the 2014 Spanish season, when he left his position at the helm of Malaga. Dalian's next CSL game is against Henan Jianye on March 31st.
