81-year-old Dong Yunlin has completed his ninth long scroll painting to celebrate the coming Spring Festival in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin Province.

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2017 is the Year of the Rooster. Dong took four months to finish this ten-meter-long painting called “One hundred roosters crow for the start of spring”, featuring 102 roosters in the painting.

Dong has painted long-scroll zodiac paintings consecutively in recent years. “I will finish painting the last three of the twelve zodiac animals in the next year," he said.
