UK Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit Deal resoundingly rejected by Parliament. The Prime Minister immediately outlined possible Parliamentary paths ahead.
THERESA MAY UK PRIME MINISTER "Does it want to hold a second referendum? Or does it want to leave with a Deal, but not this deal? These are unenviable choices, but thanks to the decision the House has made this evening, they are choices that must now be faced."
This, the man who ultimately proved to be May's harbinger of doom Attorney General Geoffrey Cox. Despite a last minute dash to Brussels in the hope of securing legally binding assurances, Cox told the government 'the legal risk remains unchanged'. Theresa May's Brexit Deal was on the ropes. Assuming over the coming days Parliament votes against a No Deal Brexit and in favor of moving the Brexit deadline, May could be in Brussels next week seeking a Brexit delay from the EU.
RICHARD BESTIC LONDON "The Brexit protestors remain in good voice. But the question politically is where to now for the UK. There's talk of a General Election and possibly an end to Theresa May's premiership. Richard Bestic, CGTN, LONDON."
