The 18th Shanghai Cooperation Organization, also know as the SCO Summit, will open in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province on June 9th. Ahead of the summit, media representatives from member countries of the SCO gathered in Qufu to experience traditional Chinese culture. Here's more.
More than 40 reporters from member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit gathered in Qufu City, the home town of the great Chinese philosopher Confucius, over the weekend.
Dressed in traditional Chinese garb, they experienced the Nishan Food Ritual, which was conducted in ancient times.

The reporters also tried to practice Chinese calligraphy and learn to speak Chinese.
They also visited a school in Shengyuan Village, where the students performed "A Traveller's Song" by Song Dynasty poet Meng Jiao.
