Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry swapped hoops for holes on Thursday to play in his first professional tournament at the Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic in California.
The 29-year-old player became an NBA Champion for the second time last month, and while no one can doubt his prowess on the basketball court, the two-time National Basketball Association Most Valuable Player (MVP) would surprise a few people with his impressive skills on the course.

Grouped with German Stephan Jaeger and England's Sam Ryder, Curry's opening tee shot is a bit shaky as it lands in a cup holder on a golf cart adjacent to the fairway.
However the NBA star, who recently helped his Golden State team to a 4-1 final series win over Cleveland, more than holds his own with shots like this approach on 15 that sets up on of his three birdies

Playing on a sponsor exemption, Curry finishes his round at four over par to sit in 142nd place in the 156 player field. The top 65 and ties will make the cut.
