China-Tunisia Relations: Tunisians learn Chinese embroidery in cultural exchange

Under the umbrella of the Belt and Road Initiative, China is training Tunisian women in the art of Chinese embroidery. Twenty craftswomen are due to benefit from the first phase of the training. It's called: She Power -- Boosting The Belt And Road. CGTN's Adnen Chaouachi has more.
An important delegation of Chinese officials, entrepreneurs and experts in several fields including embroidery are in Tunisia to present the ambitious cooperation project: "She Power Boosting The Belt and Road."
WANG WENBIN CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO TUNISIA "The delegation is in Tunisia to train Tunisian craftswomen on Chinese embroidery. This is a good experience. We aim to increase and to develop the exchange of expertise between Tunisian and Chinese women."
Tunisian officials stressed the need to boost ties with Chinese organizations and the various components of the industrial sector.
RADHIA JERBI PRESIDENT, TUNISIAN WOMEN'S UNION "The Belt and Road project is the most successful economic project in the world. Training Tunisian women and sharing knowledge with very skilled Chinese embroiderers opens the door for Tunisian companies in China and the whole world."
Chinese officials maintain that involving women from Tunisia and all the African continent in the economic and cultural revival, is one of the goals of the Belt and Road Initiative.
YANG BAOZHEN CONSUL, CHINESE EMBASSY, FRANCE: "The Chinese trainers are among the best in China. We are working closely with our Tunisian friends to expand this economic and cultural project. The success of the project here will pave the way for its implementation across Africa."
20 Tunisian craftswomen will benefit from the 1st phase of the project. "She Power Boosting The Belt and Road." The Union of Tunisian women has over 1 million members. It is one of the most powerful organizations in the North African state.
ADNEN CHAOUACHI TUNIS, TUNISIA "The Chinese delegation will spend one week in Tunisia. During this period, the Chinese officials will visit many small and medium sized enterprises in several regions across the country and organize workshops for Tunisian competences.
