Syria Conflict: Monitor: Air strikes hit Ghouta despite rebel ceasefire effort

In Syria, air strikes hit a rebel-held enclave of Eastern Ghouta on Friday -- despite a ceasefire that was thought to take effect at midnight.
Monitor groups say the air strikes hit two neighborhoods Friday morning. Government forces advanced into a large part of the town of Hezzeh after the ceasefire deadline. Meanwhile, hundreds of fighters evacuated by the Syrian regime from their base in Eastern Ghouta arrived in the rebel-held province of Idlib on Friday.
