A tiger died after fighting with another tiger at Kunming Zoo in Yunnan Province on Sunday.

Upon finding the tiger prone and lifeless, a member of zoo staff prodded it with a stick, but got no reaction. Zoo visitors screamed as they looked on.

Zoo officials said the dead tiger had received a fatal bite to the neck in the fight.
