Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed his Namibian counterpart Hage Geingob to Beijing on Thursday. The two leaders touched on bilateral ties and witnessed the signing of various cooperation documents. President Xi met with Geingob at the Great Hall of the People. They agreed to build a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
President Xi said China is willing to deepen cooperation based on mutual benefit. And both leaders vowed to better understand and promote political mutual trust, as well as continue to support issues concerning each other's core interests and concerns. Cooperation documents that were signed cover areas such as infrastructure and financing. Geingob is paying a state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi.
