US New Hampshire state attorney general said Tuesday he had launched a probe
into allegations of "serious sexual misconduct" by three Dartmouth College
professors.
"Dartmouth College has pledged to work with this investigation to ensure the
safety and well-being of all members of their community," state Attorney General
Gordon MacDonald said.
Dartmouth College spokesperson Diana Lawrence confirmed on October 25 that
psychology and brain sciences professors Todd Heatherton, Bill Kelley and Paul
Whalen had been accused of misconduct and had been put on administrative
leave and barred from entering the campus.
It is yet unclear what allegations were launched against the professors.
Lawrence said that while the school takes the accusation seriously, no official
findings have been produced.
Dartmouth College is a private research university founded in 1769 and a member
of the prestigious Ivy League.
