UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and his Australian counterpart Julie Bishop held talks in Sydney on Thursday to discuss a free trade agreement for post-Brexit Britain.
Bishop said her country wants a “high-quality, comprehensive free trade agreement”, but Britain would first have to conclude its negotiations with the European Union.
In response, Johnson said the UK expected a “great” free trade deal which would take into consideration the availability of British visas for Australian citizens.
Johnson and Bishop said that their countries would boost trade, intelligence-sharing and military ties.
