China's Ministry of Education has ordered a nationwide textbook revision to expand the timeline of the war against Japanese Aggression from eight years to 14. Starting in the spring semester of 2017, textbooks will adopt the phrase "14-year Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression”. The revision applies to universities and schools across the country, all relevant disciplines, and textbooks for national and local curricula.
