Fighting human trafficking is a major task in China. From 2013 to 2016, China solved about 3,000 child trafficking cases. Technology plays an important role. In 2016, the Ministry of Public Security and Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba launched the online platform, "Reunion". Through the platform, the police rapidly spread information on missing children to the public through apps such as Tencent, Ofo, and Didi. By 2017, there were 19 media outlets, and 21 apps spreading missing children's information as far as 500 kilometers. In one year, it released information on 1,300 cases, helping to find over 96 percent of children.
