The voting for the presidential election in Egypt will begin on March 26, and the final list of the candidates will be announced on Feb. 24.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is expected to run against El-Ghad Party leader Moussa Mostafa Moussa, the National Electoral Commission (NEC) announced.

– According to the voter authorization statistics from the notary office, Sisi has 173,000 signatures of support from voters and recommendations from 535 members of Parliament.
– In an opinion poll conducted by an Egyptian Twitter user, more than 20,000 users responded to a question about their desired next president: 61% supported al-Sisi.
Moussa Mostafa Moussa
– Head of the liberal El-Ghad Party after 2011.
– President of the Egyptian Council of Egyptian and Arab Tribes, and has been chairing the Arab Council for Development Projects since 2016.
– Endorsements from 20 Members of Parliament.
– A supporter of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, according to the Arab media.
