IOC chief: DPRK to take part in 2020, 2022 Olympics

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will send a team to the Tokyo Olympic Summer Games in 2020 and the Beijing Olympic Winter Games in 2022, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) chief Thomas Bach said on Saturday after talks with DPRK leader Kim Jong Un.
"They announced [to] us that they will definitely participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games as well as at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games," the IOC president said after landing in Beijing following Friday's meeting in Pyongyang.
