That's a wrap for students from Beijing's Central Academy of Drama! Now in it's sixth year, the 2017 Beijing College Students Drama Festival ended on Monday.
An awards ceremony was held at the gala to recognize young actors and directors who took part in the three week event. Students from Beijing's Central Academy of Drama presented five shows at the closing ceremony of Beijing's sixth College Students Drama Festival, including operas, musicals and dramas.
Around 3,000 students from 90 colleges and universities across China staged their theater productions during the 21-day event. In addition, college students from Russia, Ukraine, England and Japan also presented theatrical works.

Chinese actor and "Central Academy of Drama" graduate Zhang Han attended the festival. The "Wolf Warrior 2" star said the film industry should give more chances to up-and-coming talent: "I think more opportunities should be given to young graduates."
"Nowadays, what the audience needs is higher quality film and TV productions. Actors need to improve their performing skills and grab every chance they get. If they never give up on their dreams then they may achieve success."
During the gala, judges also handed out awards for best director, best actor and best actress to students and teachers for their outstanding performances and work.

The Beijing College Students Drama Festival began in 2006. Every year, students from colleges and universities across China take part in the national theater program, which has served as a catalyst for improving the quality of college theater in the country.
Besides theater performances, this year's Beijing Student Drama Festival also presented workshops, master classes and forums on subjects relating to theatrical arts.
