2019 World Cultural Heritage: Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City added to UNESCO list

Another World Heritage Site for China. A UNESCO committee has today added the archaeological ruins of Liangzhu. The announcement comes after Chinese bird sanctuaries along the coast of the Yellow Sea made the list yesterday. China now has 55 sites - the world's highest tally.
