World-renowned shoe designer Jimmy Choo will participate in the first China International Import Expo -- putting on display his dazzling jeweled shoes. The brand Genavant is created by him and third generation jewelry designer Reggie Hung. Choo said they are looking forward to being able to show off their designs and craftsmanship at the Shanghai Expo.

ZHANG HE CGTN REPORTER "Jimmy, your name is always associated with elegant lady shoes. You just created a new brand so tell us some inspiration behind it."

JIMMY CHOO SHOE DESIGNER "After I sold my business, I am still making shoe designing for my customer. I use Jimmy Choo Couture for some time. And then a few years ago I stopped. I sold Jimmy Choo Couture. I concentrate on education. I also feel why not do something new? People see shoe not just as shoe, shoe not just putting a few pearl and a few diamond. Shoe got a story as well. So I said to Reggie if you want I will help you and teach you how to design shoe. You can put the jewelry on the shoe together. "

ZHANG HE CGTN REPORTER "You are going to bring your shoes to China International Import Expo this year. So what shall we expected to see there?"

JIMMY CHOO SHOE DESIGNER "The whole shoe is covered by diamond. Maybe it is the first time I see so many diamond to design a whole shoe. That particular shoe will be shown at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai on 5th of November. I believed that the shoe will stuck the tongue, you know. Everyone want to see that shoe."

ZHANG HE CGTN REPORTER "It is the first time for China to hold such a huge event to attract imports. What made you attend this event at the first place?"

JIMMY CHOO SHOE DESIGNER "We have been invited for this special event. We are happy. We are very delighted to be invited to be in this special event in Shanghai. It is very important because there are so many people not just people from China, people from all over the world. They want to see the art, they want to see the craft. So for us it is a privilege to show our design in the event. I think if you look at China has been talking about Yi Dai Yi Lu. We are friend everywhere. Every country we are good friend together. More important is that we wish everybody has a job. We made the economy grow for the country. So this particular event bring the people from around the world. The winner is our designer, the winner craftsman people all I think. For me, it connected each other at this special event."
