The US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, is expected in Turkey today, in what many see as the most difficult stop on his five-nation tour of the Middle East.
Tillerson is scheduled to hold talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu over Turkey's offensive against the mainly-Kurdish militia, the YPG, which Washington is supporting in the battle against the Islamic State militant group. Tillerson said they need to find a way to work in the same direction.
