Top Chinese and US trade negotiators continue to meet in Washington to ease trade tensions between the world's two largest economies. Our correspondent Nathan King, who's been following the talks, say Beijing summed up the talks with three keywords: positive, constructive and fruitful.
NATHAN KING WASHINGTON "Basically as you know President Donald Trump, he said he wants 200 billion dollars cut off the about 350 billion dollars by 2020. The Chinese side said it was positive, constructive and fruitful and the exact same sort of message from the White House. So if there was a deal and the US agreed to stop actual sanctions that it could be a win for both sides. But the trouble is that the devil is always in the detail. If China could somehow buy more products he wants from the US and bring down the trade deficit at the same time, both capitals would be happy. So that's kind of where we are."
