The Snow Eagle 601, China's first polar fixed-wing aircraft, on Sunday successfully landed at China’s Kunlun Station in Antarctica.
Kunlun, the highest of China’s four research stations in the region, is located over 4,000 meters above sea level.
It is the first time that this kind of aircraft has landed in area surrounding Kunlun.
The aircraft arrived at another of China's research stations in Antarctica, Zhongshan Station, in November, 2016.
