Before we go, let's take a look at what's trending across China.
Spring is now well and truly on our doorstep blooming apricot flowers are making a stunning scene at Beijing's Palace Museum. The colors, the dark brown branches and the iconic gold and vermilion walls blend in a quite harmonious way, forming a classic scene as if part of a Chinese ink painting.
The famous golden arches without their traditional red background? That's what's happened at a McDonald's restaurant in central Beijing. Management has decided to temporarily remove the red in favour of the colors of Guoan, a Beijing-based football club, whose stadium is just down the road. Posters supporting the team are plastered all over the walls inside.
And what a powerful salute. The video of a little boy following a guard to salute him in Tiananmen Square has gone viral. The on-duty officer even returned the gesture, before taking a few steps towards his little admirer to shake hands with him. The clip was shared more than 10 thousand times on China's Twitter-like Weibo. One person said: "Has anyone noticed how powerful this little boy's salute is?"
