Looking at the environment now. The British energy sector is going greener as Great Britain uses more renewable energy. Wind power is playing a vital role in powering the nation.
Renewable energy accounted for 30 percent of  Britain's energy last year and about half of that came from wind power. Wind power accounted for just three percent of Britain's energy in 2010. Meanwhile, Britain's newly built offshore wind turbines accounted for more than half of Europe's total turbines last year. The European Renewable Energy Council expects a record number of offshore turbines in 2019 on lower manufacturing and installation costs. The council said most of the turbines would likely be in the UK and Germany.
