Finnish police on Wednesday said they have arrested two more people in connection with last Friday's knife attack in the city of Turku.
Police shot and arrested a main suspect, 18-year-old Moroccan Abderrahman Mechkah, after the stabbing spree in which two people were killed and eight others wounded. Authorities are treating the incident as a terrorist attack.
The two new arrested people may have helped prepare the attack, the police said.
The duo gave conflicting information about their background to Finnish and Swedish authorities, telling the former they were from Algeria and the latter they came from Morocco, the National Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
