Truck driver arrested for killing 4-year-old girl buried in concrete

Anhui police have arrested a dump truck driver for allegedly killing a four-year-old girl who was found buried in a road embankment two days after she was reported missing last Friday.
The driver, surnamed Han, is alleged to have violated safety regulations while dumping cement concrete at a construction site on a road in Benghu city, east China’s Anhui Province, leading to the death of the girl, who was playing at the site at the time, according to a briefing posted on the official Weibo account of the public security bureau of Yuhui District Friday.

The girl was first reported missing last Friday, prompting an overnight search by the local police and volunteers.
Her lifeless body wasn’t found until Sunday morning at the road construction site, just 20 meters away from the girl’s home.

The appalling discovery soon went viral on social media, raising the ire of Chinese netizens. Police immediately launched a further investigation into case while detaining the relevant construction workers.
The latest police briefing said the dump truck driver will be charged with negligently causing a serious accident.
