US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has left Kuwait for Saudi Arabia in an effort to resolve the ongoing diplomatic crisis in the Gulf.
Tillerson is expected to meet with King Salman and his son the Crown Prince, as well as diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
The four countries accuse Qatar of financing extremist groups, allegations Doha has denied.
On Tuesday, the US and Qatar signed an agreement on combating terrorism.
