"I think it is [one of the most amazing evenings in my career]," said Wu Dajing. "Probably there was a little bit regret in the relay competition. In the next training sessions and races, we'll try to make amends. I look forward to a better relay results at Beijing 2022."
Team China didn't win any gold medals until Wu took the victory last night, and Wu said there was pressure on him. "China's team have had good performances, but maybe there were some mistakes, it doesn't matter what the reason is. So for me, the pressure was relatively big. Today I spared no effort in the competition, and I ignored all the pressure and burdens to prepare for the final race," Wu said in an exclusive interview with CGTN.

Wu thought that, not only himself, but also all the Chinese team have done their best at this year’s Games, and what they should do is to look forward to future competitions.
"I'm more looking forward to the future since this Olympics has finished for our short track team. I have set my eyes on the next competition, the next Olympics. No matter how my career shapes up, I hope I can contribute to our country’s short track development," Wu noted.
