Chinese President Xi Jinping is visiting different cities in the nation's southernmost province of Hainan, to learn more about the area's economic and social development.
Xi stressed the importance of building a beautiful Hainan. He said the province boasts a good ecological environment, special economic zones, and tourist attractions. He said these are the three advantages that will help Hainan achieve its goal. Xi also called on the region's authorities to work harder to push forward reforms and the opening up process with a broader view.
President Xi also visited research institutions in rural areas and the Hainan Museum.
