Egypt will be participating in the China International Import Expo 2018. The Expo is meant to provide opportunities for companies from many countries to export their products to China. Yasser Hakim looks at how Egyptians are looking forward to the event.
Amr Fatoh will be a member of Egypt's delegation at the next CIIE to market his product. China International import Expo is considered a vital tool to open the market for Egyptian products.
AMR FATOH CEO, POLYEEPLAST "We produce polycarbon sheets. It's like glass but much stronger. We can use in buildings, sky lights, green houses, indoors, many applications. It's very strong product than glass."
Fatoh believes China provides the best opportunities for success.
AMR FATOH CEO, POLYEEPLAST "I've been to China for ten years. Since university I go to China maybe six to eight times a year and Chinese people supported me when I made my factory in Egypt with equipment and experience."
Trade between China and EGYPT is in the range of $10 billion. The balance is heavily geared towards China. As 90% are Chinese exports to Egypt. Official figures show Egypt exports to China in 2017 is just over $400 million. They are mainly agricultural products, marble, ceramics, carpets and chemicals. Fatoh believes companies here should do much better to earn a larger share in China.
