On China's southern island of Hainan, over 8-thousand vehicles are still stranded at ports in Haikou waiting to cross to the mainland. Heavy fog has disrupted ferry services on the Qiongzhou Strait, a major gateway to Hainan, causing long lines of vehicles. Local authorities say ferry services can be resumed as the visibility starts to improve. Meanwhile, several airlines have increased flights in Hainan. Over 200 flights have been added to help ease the traffic jams.
