A powerful storm has dumped snow, heavy rain and gusty winds in the northeastern region of the US. Millions of people from the mid-Atlantic through New England are being advised to hunker down as the storm moves up the coast. High wind warnings and advisories are in effect throughout the region. Flooding and beach erosion are expected, and snowfall could reach 15 centimeters in northern New England.
