KANG HUI CCTV We noticed a lot of new ideas in President Xi's statements. For example, the five major concepts for building new international relations. What will the main impact of President Xi's latest remarks be on the development of the SCO?
WANG YI CHINESE STATE COUNCILOR AND FOREIGN MINISTER "President Xi stressed that the Shanghai Spirit is the soul and common asset of the SCO, which must be upheld and promoted. We need to sail in the same boat and cooperate sincerely under the guidance of the Shanghai Spirit, making the SCO, which is a new form of a comprehensive organization into a model for regional cooperation. President Xi's view on development, security, cooperation, civilization and global governance summarized the basics of building a new form of international relations. It also added new meaning and presented new historical missions to the SCO and the Shanghai Spirit.
President Xi called on all sides to build an SCO-based common destiny, to build a world that is peaceful, secure, prosperous, open and beautiful. The statement of establishing a community with a shared future for mankind, included in the Qingdao Declaration, is the most important political consensus for the SCO and our common goal.
President Xi also proposed that the SCO should focus on the Belt and Road initiative, coordinate a strategy of development and build a new engine of common prosperity based on the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration. This has broadened the prospects for the SCO to pursue win-win cooperation.
President Xi's important remarks are appropriate for the development of the SCO. They are also appropriate for the common interests of other nations and the trend of global development. This will not only spur growth in the SCO, but also push forward peace and prosperity of the region and rest of the world. "
KANG HUI CCTV The success of the Qingdao Summit marks the beginning of a new journey for the SCO, which will certainly face many new circumstances and many new tasks. What issues do you think the SCO should focus on next? Also, as a founding member of the SCO, China is a very important force in the development of the organization. What concrete measures will be taken next?
WANG YI CHINESE STATE COUNCILOR AND FOREIGN MINISTER First of all, we must adhere to development orientation of the organization. Member States should continue to uphold the "Shanghai Spirit" and uphold the principle of peaceful development and cooperation. Members should not engage in closed and exclusive cliques or geopolitical maneuvering. Members should actively promote the construction of new international relations based on mutual respect, fairness and justice and win-win cooperation, and build a community with a shared future.
Secondly, we should focus on deepening pragmatic cooperation. Member States should seize the next 5-10 years as a development period, further building the cooperative foundation of the SCO, innovating the cooperative mode and expanding areas of cooperation. The SCO should make sure that the three pillars of cooperation: security, the economy and culture are developed together.
The third focus is to promote the improvement of global governance. The Qingdao declaration proposes that member states support the improvement of the global governance system and support the central role of the United Nations. With eight full members, together with four observer states, and six partner countries, the SCO can form a united force of 18 countries. If we actively carry out exchanges and cooperation with the UN and other international organizations, we will be able to contribute to the enrichment and improvement of the global governance system and to push the international order in a more just and sound direction.
As a founding member, China always treats the SCO as one of its diplomatic priorities. During the Qingdao summit, President Xi Jinping announced a series of important measures to support the SCO, including the training of 2,000 law enforcement personnel for all parties in the next 3 years, the provision of 3,000 training places for the development of human resources, and the establishment of 30 billion RMB in special loans in the framework of the SCO interbank consortium, establishing a "China-SCO Legal Service Committee, and building a China-SCO regional economic and trade cooperation demonstration zone in Qingdao. These measures combine China's advantages with the needs of all relevant parties. They are conducive to the organization's development and have been widely welcomed.
